The GIMP offers many tools and filters, and provides a large image manipulation toolbox, including channel operations and layers, effects, subpixel imaging and antialiasing, and conversions, together with multilevel undo. The GIMP offers a scripting facility, but many of the included scripts rely on fonts that we cannot distribute.\r\n\r\nSecurity Fix(es):\n\nA flaw was found in GIMP's Paint Shop Pro (PSP) file format parser. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (DoS) by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted PSP image file. The vulnerability occurs because the software incorrectly calculates buffer sizes when processing low bit-depth images, leading to an overwrite of adjacent memory.(CVE-2026-58379)\n\nA flaw was found in GIMP. The PlayStation TIM loader, responsible for handling PlayStation image files, incorrectly calculates the size of the Color Look-Up Table (CLUT) due to an integer overflow. This occurs when multiplying num_colors and num_cluts, both 16-bit unsigned short integers, resulting in a value exceeding the maximum integer limit. An attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted image file, leading to undefined behavior and causing the GIMP plug-in to abort, effectively resulting in a denial of service.(CVE-2026-59089)","affected":[{"package":{"ecosystem":"openEuler:24.03-LTS-SP4","name":"gimp","purl":"pkg:rpm/openEuler/gimp&distro=openEuler-24.03-LTS-SP4"},"ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4"}]}],"ecosystem_specific":{"aarch64":["gimp-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-debuginfo-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-debugsource-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-devel-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-extension-goat-excercises-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-libs-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-plugin-aa-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-plugin-python3-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm","gimp-vala-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.aarch64.rpm"],"src":["gimp-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.src.rpm"],"x86_64":["gimp-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-debuginfo-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-debugsource-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-devel-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-extension-goat-excercises-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-libs-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-plugin-aa-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-plugin-python3-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm","gimp-vala-3.2.4-3.oe2403sp4.x86_64.rpm"]}}],"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://www.openeuler.org/zh/security/security-bulletins/detail/?id=openEuler-SA-2026-3095"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-58379"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-59089"}],"severity":[{"type":"CVSS_V3","score":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"}],"database_specific":{"severity":"High"}}
